Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince

Title: Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince
Author: JK Rowling
Pages: 652

I have to say that the more i read of Harry Potter, the more i become addicted to it. I practically devoured this book when it arrived to my hands, after a very long wait, am pleased to tell you it's magnificent, yet... in the same time disappointing.

Before my fellow Harry Potter Fans start to shoot empty bottles on my head, allow me to explain. Many of the things in this book, were... out of the blue if you can call it. Many of the relationships that 'apparated' into the book seemed illogical to me, and then comes the very... "Hermoine/Ron" shipper, i mean i was going like "Not agaaiin" I mean where did i see this before? Not only we did not see Voldmort in the whole app 600 pages, the half blood prince wasn't hard to guess if you tell me. I was intrigued to continue, because i love JK Rowling's world... BUT.. if i was to vote one book off the collection: Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince would be it. Nonetheless, extrordinary masterpiece from JK again, hoping the next and final book would be better than this one.

I totally agree with you, this book is a masterpiece yet it still dissapoints in other areas. I felt that the book swept by very fast, and i was astonished to see that we had NO sign of voldemort through the whole book, on the contrary i believe that the relationships in the book added some needed spice to it!! And made it more mature, as JK Rowling wanted to show the readers that Harry and his friends have matured, and if i had to ask her a question, only one, it would be : WHY DO YOU HAVE TO KILL SOMEONE EVERY TIME!!!??? and now she killed harry's biggest support, i dont want to ruin this for anyone who hasn't read the book so i won't mention who it is, but as an answer to this book being the most controversial of them all is that JK Rowling has mentioned on her website that books 6 and 7 are VERY connected to each other, and the some people may find book six dissapointing but their opinion will change after they read the last book! I know you want to kill me by now for writing this VERY long comment!! Thanks for your time!

oook so im finally done with books 5 & 6 read them both in 5 days, it is unbelivably addictive, JK Rowlings workd sort of sucks you in and you cant let go..... all i can say is that the half-blood prince does seem like a prequal to the finale ... its setting the scene for the next book .. order of the pheonix is way better ... the half-blood prince leaves this impression of incompleteness... anyway cant wait for the movie to come out this year and well ultimately book 7!!

Well...I really don't know how to start this.First I want to tell you guys that I'm sorry if you think I'm offending JK or Harry or if my opinion(my imagination)is boring you.Second I must say that I consider the 6-th book a masterpiece but I can't help saying that I was a little dissapointed by JK.I mean it was obvious that ...(I'll keep the suspans for those that haven't read the book)will be killed but not by ... .The only avalable explination is that the dead one was feeling weak and that he told the killer to do it instead of that little prat.Of course this is just my idea. You can think what you want. But I can't believe that ... would've killed ... after he defended ... in front of every one.I repeat sorry for boring you with my crazy imagination.bye-bye

i thot that this book was excellant and not dissapointing in the least. i think the reason JK killed who she did was b/c now there is no1 left 2 protect harry and he has 2 kill voldemort alone. the person JK killed off nu that.i think the relationships in the story wer much needed to show the characters maturity. i cannot wait 4 the 7th book.

im sorry to say this but this book gave too much important info. not that its bad or anything but u no, Mofloy's mean talk is usually very funny and in this bk, mofloy was hardly there. and fred and george and also the main humor in the hp bks, but they were hardly there. and i agree with faris ayoub that this bk went really fast. i don't understand if j.k rowling have anything against harry because 1st of all harry's parents are dead, then she kills of the person most closest to his parents, and now she killed of the last person who was the closest to his parents. its like he lost everyone close to his parents. i don't like thsi and i really hoped that this bk would b longer than the 5th bk. oh well. its nice to have someone to share this with. BYE
